We don’t want wedding presents. You coming to celebrate our wedding is the greatest hornour and the best present for us!

For practical consideration, it is such a long way for you to take them all the way to China and also for us to take them back to UK.

In Chinese tradition, people give Hongbao （红包-red envelop with money）to the family. If you want, you can give Hongbao to Mengling’s family as an appreciation of their dedicated effort and time to organise this big party for us.

How to prepare Hongbao:

· You can buy Hongbao from a Chinese/Asian supermarket in UK or get some when you are in China.

• · Put some RMB (Chinese Yuan) in the envelop.
  • There is a fun convention of using 6s,8s, or 9s. For example 666,888,999. But nowadays, most people will just give the nearest 100s.
